- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1/2 cup cooked bacon bits
- 1 cup sliced mushrooms
- 1/2 cup garlic and herb butter
- 1 cup thickened cream
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
- Sear chicken in a skillet with a bit of oil until golden brown on each side.
- In a small saucepan, combine cream, garlic herb butter, soy sauce, and sliced mushrooms. Simmer until mushrooms are tender and sauce thickens.
- Place seared chicken on a baking dish, spoon sauce over each breast, and sprinkle with cheese and bacon bits.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until cheese is bubbly and melted.
Notes
- For extra flavor, marinate chicken in soy sauce for 30 minutes before cooking.
- Serve with a side of fresh greens or baked potatoes.
