- 4 chicken thighs, boneless and skinless
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons honey or brown sugar
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 inch ginger, grated
- 1 cup jasmine rice
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 2 tablespoons sesame oil
- Fresh cilantro and green onions for garnish
Instructions
- Marinate chicken thighs in soy sauce and honey for 30 minutes.
- Heat sesame oil in a pan and sear chicken until golden.
- Add garlic and ginger, cooking until fragrant.
- Pour in chicken broth, simmer until chicken is cooked through and caramelised, about 20 minutes.
- Cook rice separately in boiling water until fluffy.
- Serve chicken over rice, garnished with cilantro and green onions, with broth on the side.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add a splash of rice vinegar or lime juice before serving.
- Adjust sweetness with honey or sugar to taste.
