- 1 lb sliced steak
- 4 large potatoes, peeled and diced
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup milk
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced

- Crispy bacon bits for topping
Instructions
- Cook the diced potatoes in boiling water until tender, about 15 minutes. Drain and set aside.
- In a large pot, melt butter over medium heat. Add chopped onion and minced garlic; sauté until translucent.
- Add sliced steak to the pot and cook until browned, about 5 minutes.
- Stir in cooked potatoes, milk, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes to meld flavors.
- Reduce heat and stir in shredded cheddar cheese until melted and creamy.
- Serve hot, garnished with sliced green onions and crispy bacon bits.
Notes
- For a thicker soup, blend a portion of the cooked potatoes before adding cheese.
