Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in eggs one at a time, then add vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt. Gradually add to the wet mixture, alternating with milk.
- In a small bowl, combine brown sugar and cinnamon for the filling.
- Divide dough into two parts. Roll each into a rectangle. Sprinkle with cinnamon-sugar mixture.
- Roll up each rectangle, then cut into 1-inch slices.
- Place slices on prepared baking sheets and bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
- Allow cookies to cool slightly, then drizzle with glaze before serving.
Notes
- You can refrigerate the dough for an hour for easier handling.
- For an extra cinnamon flavor, sprinkle more cinnamon-sugar mixture before baking.
