- 4 cups fresh green beans, trimmed
- 1 cup cream of mushroom soup
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 1/2 cups crispy fried onions
- 2 tbsp butter
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Blanch green beans in boiling water for 3 minutes, then drain and set aside.
- In a mixing bowl, combine cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, cheddar cheese, salt, and pepper.
- Fold green beans into the creamy mixture.
- Transfer to a baking dish, top with crispy fried onions.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until bubbly and golden on top.
Notes
- You can substitute crispy fried onions with panko breadcrumbs for a different crunch.
- Make ahead: prepare the casserole, then refrigerate and bake before serving.
