Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, melted
- 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup fresh blackberries
- Optional: Fresh mint leaves for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, combine melted butter and sugar until smooth. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well. Stir in vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Gradually add to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
- In a medium bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth. Add powdered sugar and vanilla, mixing until creamy.
- Spread half of the brownie batter into the prepared pan. Drop spoonfuls of the cream cheese mixture over the batter. Add the remaining brownie batter on top. Gently swirl with a spatula to create a marbled effect.
- Scatter fresh blackberries evenly over the top.
- Bake for 35-40 minutes until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with moist crumbs. Cool completely before slicing.
Notes
- Ensure brownies are fully cooled for clean slicing and best texture.
- For a more intense blackberry flavor, add extra fresh berries or swirl blackberry jam into the batter before baking.
- Storage: Keep in an airtight container at room temperature for 2 days or refrigerated for up to a week.
