Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup (240g) semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup (115g) unsalted butter
- 1 cup (200g) granulated sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3/4 cup (90g) all-purpose flour
- 8 oz (225g) cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup (100g) granulated sugar (for cheesecake layer)
- 1 large egg (for cheesecake layer)
- Optional: chocolate shavings or fruit for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking pan.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the chocolate chips and butter until smooth, then mix in sugar until well combined.
- Add eggs one at a time and vanilla extract, mixing thoroughly after each addition. Stir in the flour until just combined.
- In a separate bowl, beat softened cream cheese with sugar and egg until smooth and creamy.
- Pour the brownie batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
- Dollop spoonfuls of cream cheese mixture over the brownie batter, then use a toothpick or skewer to swirl the cheesecake into the brownie for a marbled effect.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with moist crumbs.
- Allow to cool completely before slicing and serving. Optional garnish with chocolate shavings or fruit.
Notes
- Ensure cream cheese is softened for smooth mixing.
- Do not over-mix to keep brownies fudgy and moist.
- Try adding toppings like chopped nuts, extra chocolate chips, or fresh berries for variation.
