- 2 pounds fresh green beans
- 1 cup mushroom soup or mushroom gravy
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup fried onions
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Trim and blanch green beans in boiling water for 3 minutes; drain and set aside.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat, sauté garlic until fragrant.
- Add mushroom soup and heavy cream, stirring until blended. Season with salt and pepper.
- Mix the green beans into the sauce and transfer to a baking dish.
- Sprinkle fried onions evenly over the top.
- Bake for 20 minutes until bubbly and onions are golden brown.
Notes
- You can prepare the dish one day ahead and bake before serving.
- Use fresh green beans for best flavor, but frozen work in a pinch.
