 - 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
 
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan.
 - In a large bowl, combine mashed bananas, sugar, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract. Whisk until smooth.
 - In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
 - Add dry ingredients gradually to the wet mixture, stirring gently until just combined. Do not overmix.
 - Fold in the chocolate chips evenly.
 - Pour batter into prepared loaf pan. Bake for 60-70 minutes until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
 - Allow to cool before slicing and serving.

- Use very ripe bananas for the best sweetness and flavor.
 - To prevent overmixing, fold in chocolate chips gently.
 - For added texture, sprinkle nuts or dried fruits if desired.
