Ingredients
Scale
- 1 package of puff pastry dough or pre-made crescent roll dough
- 8–10 high-quality hot dogs or cocktail sausages
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- Optional: sesame seeds or poppy seeds for topping
- Optional: shredded cheese for extra flavor
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Prepare the dough by rolling it out lightly and cutting into 1-inch wide strips.
- Place each sausage on the end of a dough strip and tightly roll, sealing the seams with your fingers or a fork.
- Lay the wrapped sausages on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Brush the tops with beaten egg for a glossy finish; sprinkle with seeds if desired.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
- Optional: For air fryers, cook at 370°F for 8-10 minutes until crispy.
Notes
- Use high-quality sausages for best flavor.
- Seal the seams well to prevent unwrapping during baking.
- For a cheesy variation, sprinkle shredded cheese before baking.
- Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 days and reheated in the oven.
