Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • For the mashed potatoes: 4 large potatoes, peeled and chopped, 4 tbsp butter, 1/4 cup milk, 2 cloves garlic, minced, Fresh herbs for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Mix ground beef, bread crumbs, Parmesan, egg, garlic, onion powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Form into meatballs.
  3. Place meatballs on a baking sheet and bake for 20 minutes until browned.
  4. Meanwhile, cook potatoes in boiling salted water until tender. Drain and mash with butter, milk, garlic, salt, and pepper.
  5. In a skillet, combine beef broth and Worcestershire sauce. Bring to a simmer, then add baked meatballs, cooking in gravy for 10 minutes.
  6. Serve meatballs with gravy over creamy mashed potatoes, garnished with fresh herbs.
