- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 cup bread crumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan
- 1 large egg
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup beef broth
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- For the mashed potatoes: 4 large potatoes, peeled and chopped, 4 tbsp butter, 1/4 cup milk, 2 cloves garlic, minced, Fresh herbs for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Mix ground beef, bread crumbs, Parmesan, egg, garlic, onion powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Form into meatballs.
- Place meatballs on a baking sheet and bake for 20 minutes until browned.
- Meanwhile, cook potatoes in boiling salted water until tender. Drain and mash with butter, milk, garlic, salt, and pepper.
- In a skillet, combine beef broth and Worcestershire sauce. Bring to a simmer, then add baked meatballs, cooking in gravy for 10 minutes.
- Serve meatballs with gravy over creamy mashed potatoes, garnished with fresh herbs.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add finely chopped onions or mushrooms to the meatball mixture.
- Use quality beef broth for a richer gravy.
- Adjust garlic to taste for more punch.
