- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups peeled, chopped apples (preferably Granny Smith or Fuji)
- 1/2 cup sour cream or Greek yogurt
- Optional: 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans
Instructions
- Peel and chop the apples into small, even pieces, set aside.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
- In a large bowl, beat softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition, then stir in vanilla extract.
- Gently fold in chopped apples and sour cream into the batter.
- Pour the batter into a greased loaf pan.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 55-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

- For extra flavor, add chopped nuts like walnuts or pecans before baking.
- Can substitute applesauce for chopped apples for a softer, moister bread.
- Serve with whipped cream, caramel drizzle, or vanilla ice cream for added indulgence.
