Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, dissolve yeast in warm milk and let sit for 5 minutes until foamy.
  2. In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  3. Add pumpkin puree, melted butter, egg, and the activated yeast mixture. Mix until a soft dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth. Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise until doubled (about 1 hour).
  5. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Punch down the dough and shape into a log. Cut into equal slices and place in a greased baking dish.
