Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb ground beef or turkey
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1 egg
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: diced bell peppers, cheese, or herbs for added flavor
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a muffin tin with paper liners or lightly grease it to prevent sticking.
- In a large bowl, combine ground meat, breadcrumbs, milk, chopped onion, egg, garlic, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, thyme, salt, and pepper. Mix thoroughly until well combined.
- Portion the mixture into each muffin cup using a spoon or your hands, pressing gently to form round, neat muffins. Leave a small indent on top if desired.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until cooked through and lightly browned on top. Brush with additional ketchup or glaze during the last 5 minutes if desired.
Notes
- Use lean meat for a healthier version but add a bit of fat to keep muffins juicy.
- Customize flavor with herbs, cheeses, or veggies.
- Ensure even-sized portions for consistent cooking.
- Allow muffins to cool before storing or freezing for freshness.
