Instructions
- Gather all ingredients and preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In a large bowl, beat softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add egg and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
- Gradually add dry ingredients, alternating with milk, until a soft dough forms. Fold in chocolate chips if desired.
- Use a tablespoon or cookie scoop to portion dough onto the baking sheet, flatten slightly.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until the biscuits have slight cracks and are firm around the edges.
- Cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack. Serve warm or later.
Notes
