Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground beef (or ground turkey for a leaner option)
- 1/2 cup bread crumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 large egg
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs (oregano, basil)
- Optional: 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes for a bit of heat
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine ground meat, bread crumbs, Parmesan, egg, minced garlic, chopped parsley, salt, pepper, and Italian herbs. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are well incorporated.
- Use your hands or a small scoop to form the mixture into 1 to 1.5-inch diameter meatballs. Place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Bake the meatballs for 15-20 minutes until cooked through and golden brown on the outside.
- Remove from oven and serve hot with your favorite sauce or pasta, or use in sandwiches or salads.
Notes
- To prevent sticking, use parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
- You can freeze uncooked meatballs for later use; store in an airtight container for up to 3 months.
- Adjust seasoning like garlic and herbs according to your taste preferences.
