Ingredients
Scale
- 2 lbs beef sirloin or tenderloin, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp smoked paprika (optional for smoky flavor)
- 1 tbsp fresh rosemary or thyme, chopped
- 1/2 cup beef broth or red wine
- Optional garnish: chopped parsley or green onions
Instructions
- Chop the beef into uniform bite-sized pieces. Season with salt, pepper, smoked paprika, and herbs. Marinate for 30 minutes if desired.
- In a skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Transfer seasoned beef into the slow cooker. Pour in garlic butter mixture, remaining butter, and beef broth or red wine. Toss to coat evenly.
- Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours or on high for 2-3 hours until beef is tender and flavorful.
- Sprinkle with fresh herbs and garnish with chopped parsley or green onions. Serve with your favorite sides like vegetables, mashed potatoes, or salads.
Notes
- For extra tenderness, marinate the beef for 30 minutes or longer.
- You can add vegetables such as peppers, mushrooms, or green beans during the last hour of cooking for added nutrients and flavor.
- Use different cuts of beef like ribeye or flank steak based on availability; ensure uniform cutting for even cooking.
- Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days in the fridge.
