Ingredients
Scale
- 1 package (8 oz) of cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 cups whipped topping (like whipped cream)
- 1 package (3.9 oz) instant vanilla pudding mix
- 2 cups milk
- Orange and black gel food coloring
- Crushed graham crackers or cookie crumbs for topping
- Halloween-themed candies or sprinkles (optional)
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth and creamy. Gently fold in half of the whipped topping to add a light, fluffy texture.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the instant vanilla pudding mix with 2 cups of cold milk until thickened. Divide the pudding equally into two bowls. Add black food coloring to one bowl and orange food coloring to the other.
- Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly into the bottom of a clear dish or trifle bowl. Carefully pour the orange pudding over the cream cheese layer, then add the black pudding on top, creating a layered or marbled effect. Top with crushed cookie crumbs.
- Decorate with Halloween candies, sprinkles, or edible decorations as desired. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight to set layers and meld flavors.
Notes
- Use gluten-free cookies or graham crackers to make this dessert gluten-free.
- Substitute dairy-free cream cheese or Greek yogurt for a dairy-free or vegan version.
- For best results, prepare a day ahead to allow flavors to develop and layers to set properly.
