Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
  • 10 oz (about 40 large) marshmallows or marshmallow creme

Instructions

  1. Grease a large baking dish or line it with parchment paper to prepare your workspace.
  2. In a large saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over low heat. Add the marshmallows and stir continuously until completely melted and smooth. Divide the mixture into two bowls and tint one with orange food coloring and the other with pink.
  3. Quickly pour the Rice Krispies cereal into the marshmallow mixture, stirring until evenly coated. Be careful as the mixture will be hot.
  4. Transfer the mixture into your prepared baking dish. Using a greased spatula or your hands, press it evenly into the dish. While still warm, shape or cut the treats into spooky brain shapes or other Halloween-inspired forms.
