Ingredients
Scale
- 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
- 4 cups mini marshmallows
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
- Green food coloring (gel works best)
- Black edible marker or black frosting for facial features
- Optional: candy eyes or small candies for decoration
Instructions
- Grease a large baking dish or line it with parchment paper for easy removal of the treats.
- In a large saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Add mini marshmallows and stir constantly until completely melted and smooth. Remove from heat.
- Stir in several drops of green food coloring until the mixture is uniformly colored, creating that classic Frankenstein’s monster look.
- Pour the cereal into the marshmallow mixture and gently stir until all the cereal is coated evenly with the green marshmallow fluff.
- Press the mixture firmly into the prepared baking dish, smoothing the top with a spatula. Let it cool and set for about 30 minutes.
- Once cooled, cut into rectangular or square shapes. Use an edible marker or black frosting to draw eyes, scars, and stitches to give each treat that spooky Frankenstein’s monster look. Add candy eyes for extra fun!
Notes
- Make sure to use gluten-free Rice Krispies if necessary for gluten-sensitive guests.
- You can customize the facial features with different candies or edible decorations for a more personalized look.
- For an extra spooky effect, try adding red icing for blood or scars.
