Ingredients
Scale
- 1 box of chocolate chip cookies (store-bought or homemade)
- 1 package of Halloween Oreo cookies
- 1 cup of unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup of brown sugar
- ½ cup of granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract
- 2 ½ cups of all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon of baking soda
- ½ teaspoon of salt
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract.
- Whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
- Shape dough into small walnut-sized balls. Flatten slightly and place a Halloween Oreo in the center of each.
- Enclose the Oreo completely with the dough and reshape into a smooth ball. Decorate with themed sprinkles or colored sugar if desired.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Place dough balls onto prepared baking sheet, spacing about 2 inches apart. Bake for 10–12 minutes until edges are golden brown.
- Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes, then transfer to cooling racks to cool completely.
Notes
- For a festive look, add themed sprinkles or colored sugar before baking.
- Use regular Oreos if Halloween Oreos are unavailable, and decorate as desired.
- To keep cookies fresh, store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days or refrigerate for up to a week.
- For a richer flavor, try adding a drizzle of melted chocolate on top after baking for extra decadence.
