- 1 lb elbow macaroni
- 2 cups cooked shredded BBQ chicken
- 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup BBQ sauce
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped green onions and cilantro for garnish
Instructions
- Cook the macaroni according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
- In a large saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper; cook for 1 minute.
- Pour in heavy cream, milk, and BBQ sauce, stirring until well combined and heated through.
- Add shredded cheeses gradually, stirring until melted and smooth.
- Stir in cooked BBQ chicken and cooked pasta; mix well.
- Transfer to a baking dish, sprinkle with additional cheese if desired, and bake at 375°F (190°C) for 20 minutes until bubbly and golden.
- Garnish with chopped green onions and cilantro before serving.
Notes
- Feel free to adjust BBQ sauce to your taste for more smoky flavor.
- You can prepare the mixture ahead and bake just before serving.
