Ingredients
Scale
- 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, mash the bananas until smooth. Add melted butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract. Whisk until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, folding gently until just combined.
- Stir in the chocolate chips evenly through the batter. Optional: fold in chopped nuts for extra crunch.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan. Bake for 60-70 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Let it cool for at least 15 minutes before slicing.
Notes
- Ensure bananas are ripe for maximum sweetness.
- Do not overmix to keep bread fluffy and moist.
- Use a toothpick to check doneness.
- Sprinkle extra chocolate chips on top before baking for added decadence.
