Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, cook ground beef or turkey over medium heat until browned. Add chopped onions and minced garlic, cook until soft. Drain excess grease and season with salt and pepper.
  2. In a bowl, combine cream of mushroom soup, shredded cheddar cheese, and sour cream. Mix until smooth.
  3. Spread the cooked meat mixture evenly in a greased baking dish. Pour the cheesy mixture over the meat. Arrange frozen tater tots in a single layer on top.
  4. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake uncovered for 35-40 minutes until tater tots are golden and crispy.
