- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 tablespoons orange zest
- 1/2 cup dried cranberries
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, beat butter and sugar until creamy. Add egg, vanilla, and orange zest; mix well.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to wet, mixing until just combined. Fold in cranberries.
- Scoop tablespoon-sized portions onto prepared baking sheets, spacing about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are golden brown. Cool on wire racks.
Notes
- For a more intense orange flavor, add a little orange extract.
- Can substitute fresh cranberries if available, chopped finely.
